Planning has already begun for the 32nd annual National Indigenous Peoples day in June and they are in need of Indigenous entertainers. Program Coordinator for the Flin Flon Friendship Centre Joe-Anne Pelletier explains what type of entertainers they are looking for.
" We have some drummers and of course we are always willing to take more drummers, square dancers, fiddlers would be amazing and singers. Even if someone wanted to come up with an inspirational Indigenous poem about Indigenous culture and what it means to them. We are open to people coming to show their talents for National Peoples Indigenous days and to celebrate with people in all the surrounding communities and make it a wonderful day."
If you are interested in being an entertainer for National Indigenous People’s Day you can call 204-687-8852 and the sooner the better as they would like to start building their itinerary.
