The Imagine North team representing arts groups from Flin Flon, The Pas, Thompson, Snow Lake and Churchill had a chance to gather in Churchill recently and connect on different ideas to bring to the North.

Crystal Woodward representing the Flin Flon Arts Council tells us she learned a lot. " We just focussed on doing a bunch of work shops that helped us with marketing, podcast training as well as learning reels and what programs to use. We learned about the different types of equipment we need, the different microphones, headphones, sound boards and so on. It was very good and I think the biggest thing I took away from it was the podcast stuff, because my biggest goal is to have the Uptown Emporium and Arts Council to have a consistent podcast."

Woodward says the plan is to start doing live updates on social media by this Spring. They will also get a chance to meet with the Lieutenant Governor in  Winnipeg coming up in March  and look forward to presenting their ideas and getting the government’s support.
