Bust the Winter Blues is now just a couple days away and there will be no shortage of events that the whole family can enjoy all over Flin Flon and Creighton.
Creighton Rec Director Lindsay Shirran highlights some of the events that will be taking place. " On Friday night is the Trivia Night through the Kinette club , the Disco night at the Sportex will be a fun night. We will have a photo booth and some prizes and glow sticks to hand out and the Disco lights will be on. The night snowshoe event will be at Phantom Lake at 6pm, and our Home Business Market will be at ST Annes Hall at 10am to 4pm on Saturday. That will lead up to our Family Fun Day at the Sportex, where we will have a free skate and hot dogs and hot chocolate while supplies last. There will be a Smooshing contest, different cultural games , Turkey Curling and the Snowdrag races."
Other events to look forward to throughout the weekend include the fireworks at the Creighton Soccer Field, Aloha Family Dance at the Creighton Community Hall, Border Explorers Snow Mobile Poker Derby and the 50th annual Val and Ivor Hedman Centaloppet for the Flin Flon Ski Club.
