The City Of Flin Flon Has hired a new Public Relations and Community Engagement Manager.
They have hired Kasper Antoszweski from Thompson who held a similar post in Thompson for 6 years and also spent some time at Vale. He was hired in January and his first official day on the job was this past Tuesday.
The City has passed a resolution to establish a special services levy for Protective Services, Recreation Support Services and Snow Removal in Flin Flon. This was the first reading and needs to be negotiated every three years. There will be a community meeting on March the 19th.
The City’s emergency plan has added a few minor changes including updating phone numbers, updates for the different service clubs including contact information and an updated wildfire situation.
Formation for the City budget is still being worked out and will need to be held by May the 15th. The budget will be set after the results of the Special Service Levy, Municipal Mill Rate and School Division Mill Rate.
