The Flin Flon Lions Club recently held their Journey For Sight Snowmobile ride that went through several Manitoba communities.
Local Lion Andy Wasylciw says it was one of the most successful years that they have had. " Well it all started from Flin Flon here , and there were snowmobiles that came from southern Manitoba and it went on to the Pas the first day. Then they went to Swan River where they split with some going to Roblin, Russell area with some that go to Dauphin. They all eventually congregate into Brandon. They raised just under $50,000.00 for that ride for the cause and went very well."
All the proceeds will go towards the Lions Eye Bank for cornea transplants and different eye issues in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. The Lions would also like to thank everyone for their donations and for helping store the sleds right across the province.
They look forward to seeing everyone out next year for their 40th anniversary.
