The Women’s Resource Centre invites you to join them for a week of events to honour and support missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls between February the 10th and 14th.
The Women’s Resource Centre’s Ally Klippel let’s us know the different events they have planned. " So starting on Monday February the 10th we are painting MMIW feathers from 1:30 to 4:30. On Tuesday we are doing sign making and an MMIW girl painting , on Wednesday we have a women's healing circle which will have women coming in between 5 and 7 pm. On Thursday we have an informational group on grief and support from 2 to 3 pm, coping with the loss of loved ones. On Friday we have Beading Red Awareness Ribbons from 2 to 4."
Also on Friday at Pioneer Square, they will have a gathering at 5:30 with drumming, speeches, refreshments and you will also have a chance to come out and speak for either yourself or someone else that has been affected by missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
