A number of organizations presented a Connection Jobs Fair at the Creighton Community Hall yesterday which was represented by organizations in Saskatoon, Prince Albert as well as Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach.
The Regional Economic Development Commission was on hand representing Flin Flon and the surrounding area. Emily Roberts Young who is the Regional Economic Development Officer mentions this was a great opportunity to reach out to the public.
" So we were reached out by SIIT to come today because we have a few open positions within Creighton, Flin Flon and Denare Beach with the Municipal Government. We also came because we want to hear from the community and see what the community needs. For example, we had a lady approach us about resume workshops, so we are loking to see where those different resources can be accessed by the community. So for 2025 our Business Retention plan is complete and we are doing the final reporting and that will be launching soon. We also have our strategy finalized which will be published in February. We will be looking at expanding our data base building and industry development."
The Business Retention Plan will be posted online by the end of February as well as lots of other information and upcoming projects at investfdc.ca.
