The program is called Partners in Safety and will be available to help children who are out trick or treating tomorrow evening. Regional Manager for Emergency Services for the Northern Health Region Ken Gurba says when kids are out vehicles from Emergency Medical Services, RCMP and the Fire Department will be there. He says they go out in their marked emergency vehicles and staff are wearing their uniforms. He explains they make a physical, visible presence and if any child gets either lost or bullied or has any problems whatsoever they can flag down any one of these multiple vehicles that will be cruising the streets on Halloween evening.
The partners in Safety Program will run from 4 to 7 tomorrow evening in Flin Flon, The Pas and OCN.
