Wahkohtowin Trails Committee will be holding their first ever group event this weekend. It will be a chance to come out and enjoy the Phantom Trail.

The committee’s Leslie Beck has more: " Yes Christeen came up with an idea that we should celebrate the Winter Solstice by getting people out on the short loop of Phantom trail. It will give you a chance to experience the trail whether you are an experienced snow shoer, new at it or just want to come out and give it a try. I do have some extra snowshoes for anyone that wants to come out and just give it a go."

They will meet at the trailhead this Saturday at 1:30pm and will head out for a 2km snowshoe stopping to enjoy the lookouts. The Wahkohtowin committee is looking forward to 2025 including finishing their second trail in Creighton and working with the region to bring in the Trans Canada Trail.
