It Was A Very Busy Weekend For Operation Red Nose

Operation Red Nose was in full swing  in Flin Flon and the surrounding area once again this past weekend,  and the Flin Flon Rotary Club’s Alison Dallas Funk tells us it was their busiest weekend so far.

" Yes this weekend was much busier than last weekend , so on Friday we had the U-11 Northland Ford Bombers as the club that was driving everyone. Aurora and Pine provided the food. On Saturday we had the Kinsmen, Kinnettes and Steelworkers providing the rides with KFC providing the food. On Friday we had 18 rides and 19 rides on Saturday for a total of $1,165.00 in donations. I also wanted to mention with every ride we do get a donation from MPI, from the province to Flin Flon Rotary."

Operation Red Nose will only operate for two more nights including this Friday and Hudbay will be volunteering for the evening. They are also providing the service for New Year’s Eve and still need lots of  volunteers.

If you would like to help out and volunteer that night you can contact Alison at 204-687-0838.
