People have been very generous in supporting the Flin Flon Friendship Centre’s Christmas Gift Program with lots of different fundraisers.
Joe- Anne Pelletier on behalf of the Friendship Centre wants to thank the community. " Well honestly the support of the business's and the community has been absolutely phenominal and the Teddy Bear Toss was a great turn out as that truck was full of Teddies. The Red Apple event went well this weekend and people enjoyed their time with Santa and came out and purchased gifts. People from the community continue to bring items into the Friendship Centre and with the Smile Cookie campaign we tripled the amount we did last year."
The Smile Cookie Campaign brought in a total of $1,658.22 and the Red Apple will donate 5 % of total store sales from this past Saturday. You can still donate to the Christmas Gift Program by dropping off a toy or cheque to the front desk at the Friendship Centre by December the 20th.
