Members of Flin Flon’s City Council recently attended  the fall meeting of the Association of Manitoba Municipalities Convention  in Winnipeg.

The representatives  from Flin Flon City Council included Mayor George  Fontaine, Mike Slipp, Alison Dallas Funk, Sandy Stokes and Lynn Brown.

Mike Slipp was able to share some of the topics that they talked about." It was a very busy couple of days and we were lucky enough to meet with six Ministers and we were invited to the Legislature. We met with Nahanni Fontaine about families, women in gender and equality. The Premier spoke, the leader of the opposition spoke and we were able to talk to different Ministers and let them know what is happening in Flin Flon and what we would like to get from them."

Some of the other topics that were discussed were Main Street Revitalization, health care, crime, housing and mental health.
