Operation Red Nose officially kicked off this past weekend in Flin Flon as they will once again get you and your vehicle home safely throughout the holiday season.
Colleen Tower says the opening weekend was quiet but they had fun. "On Friday night, November the 29th we had 6 rides and our volunteer organization that night was the Border Explorers. Then on Saturday night we had two groups team up for that night to volunteer including the Norman Female Wild and U-15 hockey team. That night we had 7 rides and it was a fun night also. Coming up this weekend December the 6th, we have the Aqua Centre Committee volunteering for us and on December the 7th another combination of groups. The Ski Club and Hapnot Teachers Staff are both going to volunteer."
The hours will be 9pm to 2am this Friday and Saturday and the number to call is 204-687-7331 and it is once again a free service. Donations are welcome and will all stay here in our community to help out with local sports.
