You can help stand up against violence towards women and girls with the annual Take Back The Night with the Flin Flon Women’s Resource Centre later today at Pioneer Square.
Ally Klippel tells us this is one of their most important events of the year.
" So Take Back The Night is our annual event where we bring awareness for domestic abuse and sexual assault. What we do, is we have families that have been impacted by these issues to come out and speak on behalf of their loved ones who have been affected by this. Then there will be a walk down Main street and then we will all come together again at Pioneer Square."
Klippel says the walk is open to anyone who has experienced these issues or if you just want to come out and show your support. You are more than welcome to speak if you would like and you can also send in a poster with a message that will be carried during the walk.
The Women’s Resource Centre will also be holding a candle light vigil on December the 6th at 5pm.
