The Flin Flon Rotary Club kicked off their annual Operation Red Nose campaign at their meeting yesterday at the Flin Flon Community Hall.
The chair’ s this year are Alison Dallas Funk and Colleen Tower who talk about the importance of the service and how you can use it this Holiday season. " There is a number of factors why it is so important, it is a great program that allows people to go out and enjoy the holiday season while being safe and keeping our community safe. The other aspect is it raises a lot of funds in our communty to help with kids organized sports. If anyone wants to volunteer, we really need help for December the 31st so you can give us a call. We run from about 9pm to 2am, and this year we are going to try something different and try to stop at 1:30 for rides out to the lake to respect our volunteers. What you do is call the number and someone will take your information , come to where you are and pick you and your vehicle up and drive you and your car home."
The number to use the service is 204-687-7331 and they will use Council Chambers as their headquarters. The service is absolutely free and MPI will also make a donation to Operation Red Nose for every ride that is logged. You can contact Alison at 204-687-0838 or Colleen at 204-680-8164 for more information or to volunteer.
