A local resident in Flin Flon, Jennifer Mitchell is organizing some raffles to help raise money for residents of local group homes and for the Northern Growing Abilities Day programs.

Mitchell tells us how this all started. "  So what we are doing is  every year in my late son's memory who passed in January of 2017. What we do is choose a different organization around town here and we do a 50/50, a raffle and things like that to donate to different organizations."

The name of the project is the Christmas Presley Project and Mitchell started this in Saskatoon in 2017 and moved it to Flin Flon after relocating to Northern Manitoba in 2022. Some of the organizations they have donated to since coming to Flin Flon include the SPCA, PCH, Northern Lights Manor and Women’s Resource Centre.
