A survey will result in more help for students

In his report last night to the Flin Flon School Board Superintendent Blaine Veitch spoke of the Tell Them From Me survey.  During the next few weeks students in grades four through twelve will complete an online survey anonymously.  This survey will allow students to express their thoughts on various topics.  Schools can then use the information to improve the students overall learning experience.  Veitch says he hopes for one hundred percent feedback from students.

In other news this is School Bus Safety Week with the theme at my stop-you stop which is a reminder for motorists to stop when the red lights are flashing and the stop arm extended.  There is a hefty fine for passing a school bus in either direction but the real cost could be an injury or death of a child.

The Division recently accepted a grant of twenty thousand dollars from skill build for an industrial arts equipment upgrade.  The money will go towards an upgrade for the welding exhaust system at McIsaac School.  Healthy Schools also contributed 71 hundred and 34 dollars towards school and community resources like Camp Whitney, the ski club and exercise equipment.
