Community Futures Greenstone is hosting their Entrepreneurship Conference, Unleashing Potential starting today  at City Council Chambers.

Christina Birch is the founder and owner of the Community Cafe and will be today’s special guest speaker. Birch talks about her passion for community building. " I have been working in community development for 15 years now , so I grew up in a small community of about 500 people and that's really where I first became a community builder. My parents they role modeled the importance of community right from the beginning, and whether it was volunteering for one of the many organizations or just seeing a community need stepping up. My parents instilled in me the importance of contributing to your community and helping make it a better place. I think in that small town of 500 people is really where my passion for community and economic development really began."

The event will also include A Northern Entrepreneur story with Tina Oulette, different workshops , presentations  and business awards. The event will be hosted by Becky Cianflone  of CF Greenstone and  Dianne Russell of CFAR .
