Residents in Saskatchewan will head to the polls for a provincial election this Monday October the 28th.
Jordan McPhail is representing the NDP for the Cumberland Constituency that includes Creighton, Denare Beach, Sandy Bay and Deschambault Lake.
McPhail had a chance to meet with many people and leaders and talked about some of the issues he will be looking to address. " As some people might know here in Creighton and Denare is I used to serve as a Municipal Councellor . Part of my roles was working with an organization called New North, and what we would do is look at Northern Saskatchewan communities. I had a really good opportunity to meet with Creighton Mayor Bruce Fiddler and Carl from Denare Beach and talk about some of the issues. The Hanson Lake road with people having to travel across that road for many hours without cell reception , definately one of the top issues brought forth by local leadership. As well as the labour and delivery services as well and some of the health care services that are needed."
Advance polling starts today at the Creighton Rec and Tourism office from 10am to 7. Polls will be open on election day, October the 28th from 9am to 8pm. The polling stations include Creighton Community Centre in Creighton, Denare Plex in Denare Beach, Guy Morin Memorial Hall in Sandy Bay and the Band Hall in Deschambault Lake.
