You will have a chance to support Jazz students across the North and hear some really good music.
The Norman Jazz Festival concert is taking place Sunday October the 20th at Hapnot Collegiate.
Hapnot Band Teacher Kim Jones provides the details. " The final performance will be about an hour and a half long and there will be a silver colection at the door. It will start with all our student bands performing two songs each and we will have twelve songs by the student bands. We will end with the Clinicians playing Jazz performance. Listening to Jazz is a unique experience in comparisen to listening to regular Pop and Rock music, in that the melody is stated and all these amazing musicians improvize and they solo on the spot. They are creating music on the spot and on the stage and it will be a unique opportunity for us to hear Jazz in Flin Flon."
6 bands will be coming in from The Pas, Thompson, Swan River to join the Jazz students from Flin Flon. It starts at 2:30 and a silver collection will be taken at the door.
