Mayor George Fontaine and City Councillor Mike Slipp recently attended the Association of Manitoba Municipalities , Cities Caucus in Thompson.

This was a chance to join other Cities across Manitoba and discuss the different challenges that everyone is facing and a chance to share ideas and information.

Councillor Mike Slipp explains  what was discussed. " We discussed issues such as the Community Safety Officer program which is running in a number of communities,  and how it's working and what is not working as well. We talked about water , we talked about infrastructure and someone said it best, it doesn't matter what size of community we live in we seem to have the same issues."

The next AMM Conference will take place in Winnipeg at the end of November and this will be a chance to gather with Cabinet Ministers, MLA’S, The RCMP and the Premier.
