UCN is excited to announce that applications for the second intake of students for the Mining Readiness Training Program which will take place at the Foran McIlvenna project site near Flin Flon.

Jamie Grant who is the Associate Vice President of Community and Industry Solutions at UCN tells us this a great opportunity for people in this area.

" It really is focussed to get people who would normally screen out of entry level positions into the mines ,  because they don't have enough industrial experience or making that cut. After our program they can screen in to the entry level jobs with not only the mines but other industrial contractors. Even in other sectors there are a lot of transferable skills that will come out of the training."

UCN is teaming up with Foran and Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation for the second intake and you can register by going to ucn.ca/mining and that will take you straight to the programs page. There are currently ten spots available.
