UCN Launches Training Program For Mcilvena Bay

UCN announced applications for the second intake of students to the Mining Readiness Program in Flin Flon.

 

The second intake will be held in part at the Foran McIlvenna Bay Project site near Flin Flon. This is  offered in partnership with NORCAT and PrairiesCan, the program aims to prepare participants for careers in the mining industry.

 

Jamie Grant, Associate Vice-President of Community and Industry Solutions at UCN made the announcement and is very excited about the program and commented that mining is a dynamic and growing sector that offers all kinds of opportunities for those that want to step in and work hard.

 

A key benefit of this program is that tuition and materials are fully covered for all accepted participants.

 

Graduates of the program will earn a dual certificate from UCN and NORCAT. Designed for those seeking entry-level mining jobs, the program combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning.
