The 13th annual Grandmothers Walk is taking place in Flin Flon this Monday September the 23rd at the Northern Neighbors Park beside Super K.
Christa McIntire tells us they have a lot planned for that afternoon. " We are going to start with an opening smudge, then at about 4:30 we will do the awareness walk down Main Street. We will end at Pioneer Square where we will have remarks, a bit of a ceremony and we will end with soup and bannock."
This walk is to bring awareness to sexual exploitation on children and is open to anyone who would like to take part including men, women , children and youth and help deliver the message that these violations against children must stop.
Anyone who is comfortable can wear long skirts and ribbon skirts.
