A resolution was made that the city will sell any existing lot to anyone interested in building a home for only one dollar. Conditions will have to be met including putting together a plan in 6 months and you would need to start building within two years. Applications are available at City Hall or online.
An update was given on public transportation that the Flin Flon city bus is now making three stops a day into Creighton. Mayor Fontaine mentioned that they are a tri- community and want to continue to work closely with Creighton and Denare Beach and want to provide this service.
Council wanted to thank Alison and Mike Funk for cleaning up garbage which was dumped on Flin Flon’s Main street recently and also a big thank you to Kelly Senyk and her son who cleaned up the Flin Flon Skateboard Park.
Tuesday’s meeting was the last for current City Administrator, Lynne Brown who is stepping down from the position and will now become the City’s Treasurer and will work out of City Hall three days a week.
The new Chief Administrative Officer, Sandy Stokes will officially take over on Monday.
