If you are thinking about buying a house in Flin Flon, the City in conjunction with Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation are accepting grants for the Flin Flon Home Buyer Assistance Program.

Lynn Brown the City Administrator lets us know how you can take advantage of this opportunity. " We are very excited about the Home Buyer program and we do have the opportunity for the people who are purchasing homes for two hunderd thousand and under, there is an eight percent down payment which is available as a forgivable loan. If the house is a hundred thousand and under there is a poosibility for another 8 percent for funding for rehab and repair on the house as well. It is pretty exciting as over the last year and a half we have had ten people take advantage of it."
