At their meeting Tuesday Flin Flon City Council approved on final reading changes to their traffic bylaw.  The taxi stand on Main Street will be changed to a five minute parking zone making it a drop off and pick up spot only.  It will expand the no stopping zone before and after the cross walk on Main Street in front of the Royal Bank and will also allow for a new crosswalk 12 meters south of Balsam Avenue near the petting zoo.

In other business residents of the Flin Flon trailer park presented a 51 signature petition to Council expressing their disappointment in the city’s decision to stop delivery of limestone and black dirt at no cost to the rented lots. They noted the trailer court is built on swamp and landscaping is necessary for proper drainage and as the landlord the city should continue to provide this material as they have for years which the residents spread themselves.  Council will look at the budget to see what the service cost and why it was cut and discuss it further.
