It is almost time for the Freedom Outreach Duck Race coming up this Saturday at the Wallace street bridge.

This is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year and Ben Luc invites the entire community to come  down and take in the festivities.

" We are going to have a barbecue and want to invite everybody to come down whether you have a duck in the race or not. It isn't too late to get a ticket as the guys will be out selling this week. You will get to here from the guys that are in the program and will have some encouraging stories how guys lives are changing. Our Campus Manager will also be sharing an update on how other programs around the country are doing. Everybody that comes out is always happy that they did and we really look forward to having as many people as possible. It looks like it is going to be a really nice day , so we are looking forward to it and getting excited for it."

For the first time ever the Duck Race will feature three different heats and there are still tickets available at Canadian Tire or you can reach out to Candi at 204-271-4403. Great prizes are  up for grabs including a 2024 Polaris  Sportsman 570 Premium Trail Edition Quad.

A big thanks to Arctic Beverages for donating chips and drinks which will be available for free with the purchase of a hotdog or hamburger at the barbecue which will start at noon. The races will start at 1.
