This past Saturday  at approximately 6:45 a.m., La Ronge RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Lagoon Road in Bell’s Point.

 

Officers responded immediately along with local EMS. A passenger in the vehicle was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 20-year-old male from La Ronge, His family has been notified.

 

The driver and a second passenger were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

 

As a result of continued investigation, an adult male was arrested.

 

24-year-old Terrance McKay from La Ronge is charged with one count of operating a vehicle while impaired causing death and one count of operating a vehicle while impaired causing bodily harm.

 

La Ronge RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
