People will be able to visit Manitoba Provincial Parks for free this Labour Day long weekend.
Environment and Climate Change Minister Tracey Schmidt hopes everybody can get out with their families and enjoy one of 90 provincial parks across the province.
Any visitors to Manitoba’s parks will not require a vehicle permit and even though entrance to Provincial Parks is free, you will still have to pay for overnight camping. If you would like to make a reservation for a camping spot you can go to manitobaparks.com or call 1-888- 482-2267.
You are also asked to check the website for advisories before you travel.
Watercraft users and beach goers are reminded to be vigilant against aquatic invasive species. Always clean, drain, dry and, if necessary, decontaminate watercraft and water-related equipment including all water toys and inflatables. Details available at www.manitoba.ca/stopais.
