Camp Moochikun Wraps Up

Camp Moochikun has wrapped up over at the Friendship Centre after two months of activities for kids of all ages.

The camp featured healthy life styles, cultural awareness and education related skills.

Program Co-ordinator Joe Anne Pelletier mentioned some of the highlights.

" This year it went over really well, we would of been more happier if we would of got more participation within the community for the kids to be more involved. We always look forward to it and are trying to work up ways to increase and advertise a little more, so people are aware of this amazing program. We have an elder coming in to do teachings for the kids for educational purposes. We have lots of other activities including going on nature walks , hotdog roasts, blueberry picking, go on medicine walks. It is educational, fun and exciting for all the kids that attend."

The Friendship Centre is looking forward to fall with a number of programs returning including Elders Gatherings, Women’s Circles and lots going on for Culture Days.
