The Public Will Get A Chance To Voice Concerns And Ask Questions About Water Rates

The public will get a chance to ask questions and voice their concerns about the water rates coming up next week.

A public utilities hearing will take place next Tuesday August the 27th at the Flin Flon Community Hall. A presentation will be made on the recent water study for Flin Flon  and a person will go over the information with a power point presentation.

This will give people a chance to hear the information first hand and ask questions. Doors will open at 5 and the meeting will start at 5:30.

Good progress continues to be made on the building of the new Aqua Centre as they have started to pour cement. The frames of all the walls are up and now they are pouring the basement. There will be a crew from Ontario coming in to do the piling work. Pictures can be seen on the City Of Flin Flon facebook page.

The library has re-opened and the structure of the building is now safe with the work completed on the ceiling. They still have to complete the work on one of the wash- rooms, but the library can be utilized once again.

Final reading was given on the garbage bylaw and passed with households being able to throw out 4 bags per week with additional tags available at City Hall if needed.
