Flin Flon Has A New Economic Development Officer

The City Of Flin Flon has hired a new Economic Development Officer.

Emily Roberts was hired in late July and relocated to Flin Flon from Winnipeg in January and has worked with the Arts Council and recently was the interim Regional Tourism Officer.

Roberts is very excited about her new position and looks forward to meeting lots of people and organizations.   "  It has been great, I am from Winnipeg originally and I went to university for Developmental Economics and I have my minor in Business Management. Last year we had a connection with Crystal Kolt who invited us up for Blueberry Jam. We thought we would take a weekend off and go up to Flin Flon and see what is going on. We went up there and absolutely fell in love with the place. Since that day I have been looking for different opportunities with work and housing,  and with this being in my field and wheel house, I put my hat in the ring."

Roberts said her biggest goals are to attract new business’s to the North and  encourage business’s to invest in the North. If you would like to reach Emily you can contact her at 204-681-7505, 306-688-8253 or e-mail at  eroberts@flinflon.ca.
