Manitoba highways is doing a preservation program on Highway 10A between Flin Flon and The Pas.

This is normal practise for Manitoba highways to preserve asphalt highways that they have built.

Flin Flon and District Chamber Of Commerce President Dianne Russell reached out to highways and explains what she found out.  " You know through Chamber I decided to find out what the whole process was, and just to make sure our business's and economic development was being protected as this is such a beautiful highway. It is a process that was set to happen and usually happens two years after the highway was built. They are just now getting around to doing the preservation project."

The crew is working on sealing the asphalt white line to white line to prevent moisture from settling into the cracks. No update was given on resurfacing Highway 291 going out to Channing.

No timeline was given for completion.
