The 33rd annual Cranberry Trout Challenge will take place tomorrow on Lake Athapap with a chance to win lots of great prizes including $65,00.00 for first place.
One of the organizers Wade Roberts expects to see people coming in from a lot of different areas. " There are people that come from the Winnipeg area and all over Southern Manitoba. Past people that lived in the North who like this derby and even some folks from Mexico that retired from here. We have several folks that know the area and enjoy fishing for Trout who love the area, people from Saskatchewan etc."
Deadline to enter is tonight and you can sign up on the fish donkey app, or show up in person at the rules meeting at 7pm at the curling rink. Information on all the events taking place this weekend in Cranberry can be seen on the Cranberry Trout facebook page.
