The Town Of Creighton is reporting they are happy with the progress that is being made on the Wilson fire and there are currently 45 firefighters fighting the fire on the ground.
They have 3 helicopters standing by and the water bombers are sitting in Bakers Narrows and will be called in if needed. The extreme heat the next few days are of concern.
Once again Creighton and Denare Beach are not in any imminent danger but remain on evacuation alert.
Don’t forget to pre-register at the Rec and Tourism office on Creighton Ave, so everyone is accounted for, if an evacuation were to be called. Remember this can happen at a moment’s notice.
Smoke is not a factor right now, but if you have respiratory issues there is a fresh air centre located at the Sportex. Transportation will be available if you need it by contacting the Creighton Town Office at 306-688-8253.
