Trout AGM

The Flin Flon Trout Festival AGM took place last night at City Hall Chambers, and President Tim Babcock reported that despite some challenges , this was one of the most successful and profitable festivals in recent memory. “ The 2013 Trout Festival was my 4th as President and it was the best festival that we put on, with great attendance at all the events and we were able to put some money in the bank which will hopefully allow us to put on a better festival for 2014.”

The festival brought in about $30,000.00 with a big chunk coming from the Fish Fry that brought in around $20,000 and another $8,800.00 from the Wings Over Kissising who donated half their proceeds from their helicopter rides. Some of the other highlights included changing the month long fishing derby to a 48 hour format and a very successful main street days.

The executive will stay the same with Tim Babcock as President, JC Souter - Vice, Vanessa Unrau- Secretary and Lori Rogan  Treasurer.  The Trout Festival is in dire need of volunteers and if you would like to help out contact Tim at: 204-271-3836 or go to www.flinflontroutfestival.com
