Firefighters continue to make progress on the Wilson fire that is located close to both Creighton and Denare Beach. Creighton Mayor Bruce Fiddler tells us they are using all resources that are available to them.

" There has been no growth in the fire but the crews are making progress, but it still isn't contained so everything is status quo. The evacuation alert and fire ban are still in place and we have another crew that came in yesterday afternoon. We also had two helicopters came in yesterday so there is lots of support. Things are looking ok right now but it still isn't contained."

The Town Of Creighton is once again asking people to pre-register in case there is an evacuation and want you to know it just isn’t for this situation but for any other emergency that might occur in the future.

They have moved the registration office from the Sportex to the Rec and Tourism office on Creighton Ave and it is open Monday to Friday 8 to 5. Don’t hesitate to call the office at 306-688-8253 with any questions you may have.
