The Wahkatowin Trails Committee had their last meeting of the summer and they continue to make progress with their first trail which has been developed around Phantom Lake.
Christine Williams gives us the details on their latest developments. " We received some grant money from the Credit Union, and we have recently used that money to purchase signage that is going to go up by the trails so you always know where you are going. We are hoping to purchase some story boards to put up along the trail. The story boards we would like them to tell the history, glory days of Phantom Lake and describe the rock we have around this area."
They have set up an instagram page it is called at Wahkohtowin trails, and they would like you to tag them if you are using the trails , so they can count numbers on the amount of usage which will help when they apply for grants.
This was the last meeting of the summer and they will meet again September the 10th , 7pm at the Creighton Town Office.
