The Trout Festival officially wrapped up on Saturday with Beaver Lake Day. Among the highlights was the results from this past June’s fishing derby.

 

Troy Dease finished first in the Burbot category sponsored by Kozar Construction, FF Insurance, City Of Flin Flon, McMunn and Yates and the Trout Festival.

 

Ray Lavis  came second.

 

Jayden Oulette was first in the Northern Pike category  sponsored by Jim’s Custom Doors And Windows, Hudbay, Don Holmes Trucking and the Trout Festival.

 

Kevin Shanowski was second

 

In the Trout Category sponsored by Manitoba Metis Federation and Flin Flon Credit Union, Sheldon Weibe came first followed by Barry Anderson.

 

Cranberry’s Ted Smith finished first in the Walleye event sponsored by Flin Flon and District Chamber Of Commerce. Colten Tetoff was second.

 

All first place winners received $15,00.00, and second place winners were awarded $500.00 courtesy of the Town Of Creighton.

 

Forrest Ritchie won first place for the biggest Youth entry.

 

A total of over $15,000.00 in prize money was handed out.
