The Northern Neighbors Foundation gave out their 2024 grants Wednesday night at the Creighton Community Hall. The funds came from three organizations including Northern Neighbors Foundation, Moffat Family Fund and Joe Brain.

 

A total of over $167,000.00 was handed out to volunteer groups across Flin Flion, Creighton, Denare Beach, Cranberry and Snow Lake.

 

The President Jane Robillard mentioned it is a pleasure to be able to help out these dedicated volunteers and organizations.

 

"  We have five communities that we serve and the majority of the people who get the grants are people who are  volunteers. Like ourself, they run great programs and they make their communities better and this is a great way to help them."

 

Among the organizations to receive grants was the Creighton Town Hall receiving over $12,000.00 for wheelchair ramp repair, Town Of Snow Lake $16,000.00 for a warm up shack and storage facility for their only outdoor rink,Lord’s Bounty Food Bank $15,000.00 for a new floor and the Village of Denare Beach $12,000.00 for a upgrade groomer and brush cutter.
