The Flin Flon and District Chamber of commerce held their final general meeting before the fall on Tuesday. The business builders brought in just over $6000 with the Canuck Amusements at the end of May. Also discussed was meeting with the new Main St. Revitalization committee and forming a partnership regarding public safety. The chamber is planning helping fund a partial covering over Pioneer Square that can be retracted when not in use. Dianne Russell of the Trout Festival gave a presentation informing the chamber that the Flin Flon Trout Festival will simply be known as the Trout Festival in order to fully promote it as a regional event. New Flinty merchandise will be available at the uptown emporium and tourist destinations around the area.
