Flin Flon Pride will be celebrating their 8th annual Pride celebration with activities taking place this weekend. Committee member Melissa Streitle lets us know about the different events that they have planned.
"This year we have three big events planned. Our first event is the flag raising, which is on Friday, it's at the Flin Flon City Hall at 5 p.m. Saturday is
our Flin Flon drag show at Johnny's, tickets are $20 each and available at the Orange Toad. Doors open at seven, and the show starts at eight. Sunday is our Pride parade. It's starting at 11 a.m. at the old Co-op and ending at Willow Park. QB will be sponsoring a barbecue and there will also be some kids events. Pride would like to thank our sponsors this year: Foran mining, QB, Manitoba Hydro and the Victoria Inn."
If you would like to enter a float this year you can stop by Pharmasave and pick up a registration form. Once it is filled out you can take it back to Pharmasave or e-mail it to flinflonpride@gmail.com.
Deadline to get forms in is 5pm on Friday.
