On Saturday , at approximately 11:55 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a business establishment located on Moak Crescent .
It was reported that one of the employees had been assaulted followed by a group of five males fighting outside. One of the suspects had been observed brandishing a handgun while threatening other employees. The suspects then entered a vehicle and fled the scene.
The 25-year-old male employee was transported to hospital where he was treated and released.
Officers attended and immediately located the suspect’s vehicle a short distance away on Nelson Road where a traffic stop was initiated.
Officers arrested the five suspects without incident. A search of the suspects led to the seizure of a large sum of cash but the firearm was not recovered.
RCMP have charged the following individuals in relation to this incident;
- Delson Acoby, 20, of Winnipeg
- Kash Morris, 18, of Thompson
- Thor Monias, 22, of no fixed address
The two other males (22, 21) were later released from custody without charge.
Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
