Wize Kidnetic Energy Day camp is coming back to Flin Flon July the 29th to August the 2nd and will be taking place at McIsaac school. This is the day camp being put on in conjunction with the University of Manitoba and will focus on having fun and learning about science, technology, engineering and math.
Amy Skelton from the U of M gives us a break down of the different themes they will be featuring. " Day one will be construction, architecture where they can see where stem is incorporated in that. Day two is going to be plant and fugi, so we will doing activities that teach about the layers of the soil. Day three will be forensic science day where campers will enter the world as a crime scene investigator. The fourth day is marine biology where they will be looking at marine animals of the sky and sea and look at their environments. The final day will focus on the science of sound, where campers will learn more about how music is made and have an opportunity to make music and explore sound on their own."
