The Flin Flon Community Garden has received funding from Trees Canada to plant a food forest to support phase one of the City Of Flin Flon’s campground renovations.
The City’s Crystal Kolt gives us the details. " The Flin Flon Community Garden applied for funding through Trees Canada, a national organization that supports the development of trees in municipalities. It go's towards foods, beautification and revitilization and we got $10,000.00 and this will support the city."
The food forest will be planted over by the Gillis Park play structure on Dadson Rowe. You will be able to join the community garden team when they plant trees on Sunday June the 16th from 1 to 5pm. You can contact Crystal Kolt for more information by emailing ckolt@flinflon.ca.
