The Manitoba government is making emergency financial support available for residents of Cranberry and the surrounding cottage subdivisions who were evacuated because of the recent wildfire situation.
Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew made the announcement on Monday and said he knows the impact this fire has had on families in Cranberry and the surrounding sub divisions including Sourdough Bay, Whitefish Lake, Twin Lakes, Bakers Narrows and Schist Lake North.
This supplement is a one time assistance that is available to those that were evacuated 7 days or more. Eligible adults will receive $200.00 and children will receive $100.00. The supplement will be issued in impacted communities to individuals and families who registered with an ESS Reception centre and who meet the eligibility criteria.
