The 16th annual Manitoba Ride For Dad Motorcycle Run will take place in Winnipeg on Saturday May the 25th. This is a fundraiser on behalf of prostate cancer awareness and education.
Flin Flon will have a rider, Nic Somers who is taking part for the 8th time and tells us why he decided to get involved. " I stated doing that because I saw the advertising year after year on tv, and by the time I got my scooter I could take on the highway I fugured it would be a great event to take in. The first time I went down it was such a positive experience so I kept going down and have been doing it since 2018."
If you would like to make a donation you can go to the website www.ridefordad.ca/manitoba. then you can search for Nicholas Somers and his name will pop up. You can also give him a call at 204-687-0765 to arrange a donation. Nic has raised over $5000.00 himself through out the years and over $ 4 million has been raised province wide.
All the money raised will stay in Manitoba and go towards prevention and research of prostate cancer.
