There are currently 240 personnel actioning the fire on the ground including The Pas Fire Department & Opaskwayak Cree Nation Fire Department, including 2 water bombers working on the east flank by Election Lake, and 6 helicopters are being utilized to snuff out hot spots. The weather outlook looks very favourable, with the rain overnight and today.

 

The fire is currently at 37,000 hectares but has minimal growth.

There has been no advancement in the community thanks to well-established fire breaks.

 

We remain in a state of emergency.
The evacuation order is still in place.

The rain overnight made things very favorable and the structure of the fire has not changed overnight. It is still 2 km east of Hwy 10, as crews have a well-established fire break.
