Creighton Council Has Received A Request From Creighton School

AT THEIR MEETING LAST WEEK THE TOWN COUNCIL OF CREIGHTON REPORTED RECEIVING A REQUEST FROM CREIGHTON SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL FOR A DONATION TOWARDS THEIR PENNY PARADE AT THE UPCOMING LEISURE SHOW. 

 

PROCEEDS GO TOWARD ASSISTING WITH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS HELD FOR STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. COUNCIL AGREED TO MAKE A DONATION OF A HOODIE IN SUPPORT.


COUNCIL ALSO AGREED TO DONATE THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS TO THE SASKATCHEWAN HEALTH AUTHORITY DENTAL PROGRAM WHICH HELPS
PROMOTE PRACTICING GOOD ORAL HYGIENE TO STUDENTS.

COUNCIL WILL ALSO BE REVISING THE CURRENT POLICY FOR WATER AND SEWER LINE THAWING FROM $500 DOLLARS TO $300 DOLLARS AS AN EFFORT TO STOP RESIDENTS FROM USING BLEED LINES.

COUNCIL HAS ALSO AGREED TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO SIGN THE UPDATED MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF FLIN FLON AND THE VILLAGE OF DENARE BEACH.

IT WAS ALSO REPORTED THAT CREIGHTON RECREATIONS APPLICATION FOR THE SUMMER IN THE PARK PROJECT WAS APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMUNITY INITIATIVES FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,750 DOLLARS.
 

AND FOR THE FIRST TIME THE TOWN HAS BEEN SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS YEARS MIRACLE-GRO BEST GARDEN SELECTION PROGRAM FROM SCOTTS CANADA.

 

 PARTICIPATING COMMUNITIES WILL RECEIVE 12 SIGNS PLUS MIRACLE-GRO PRODUCTS SHOWCASING THE BEST GARDEN SELECTION IN THE COMMUNITY.
